Korean Garden in the Grueneburgpark of Frankfurt
The Korean Garden is a gift from the Republic of Korea to the city of Frankfurt on the occasion of the Guest of Honour presentatin during the Frankfurt Book Fair 2005. Korean Scholar gardens were traditionally places of retreat in locations of exceptional natural beauty. Their layout follows the principiles of Confucionism, the balance of Yin and Yang energies, as well as the rules of geomancy.
In the workshop a special picture for our friend ChrisJ and all other Korean friends

Bonjour, cher ami Achim,
Sympathique et très agréable prise de vue, une bien belle façon de franchir les frontières sans aller trop loin !
Il faut être courageux pour photographier par ces jours de grande chaleur.
Ce jardin Coréen doit bénéficier d'un environnement de toute beauté. Belle architecture.
Amitiés.

Hi Achim
Yep! I had to check the country to make sure it was Germany & not Korea. Fooled me at first, & I'm in Korea, right now! Good colour, sharpness & reflections. Tfs!

Hello Achim.
Great reflection on the water, well-chosen pov.
I share your choice to insert the human figure resting on the stonewall.
Best regards.

Olá Achim,
interessante ver imagens de contruções orientais em locais diferentes, e aqui nessa imagem gostei também do casal bem confortável no muro, hehe.
Parabéns e Abraço

Hi Achim,
The reflections in the water are assets to the composition. The person sleeping on top of the wall has an effect of scale. The trees are framing well the pavillion. The point of view is allowing us to see the details and colors of the structure of the pavillion. The luminosity is enhancing the colors of the scenery. Have a nice day.

Hi Achim,
it seems to be a lovely place. I remember when I lived in Munich for couple of years that I have seen there a pretty Chinese garden (or Japanese, I am not sure anymore).
It is really nice that you can find those gardens with some exotic elements in Germany.
For TE it may be a bit confusing, if somebody from Korea sees this shot he will think that the German architecture resembles Korean :)
Thanks for sharing,
M

Hello Achim,
Place which allows those which cannot travel to escape a little… Interesting framing on this. A beautiful light on this architecture offering a quite pleasant reflection. A park, which one can appreciate in his entirety in WS, must be very pleasant. Thank you Achim.
With all my friendships and a very good evening,

Hello John
It is interesting to see a Korean garden in Germany and with the pagoda, it feels to be somewhere else ;)
The blue sky and the trees provided an interesting BG.
The light and colors are fine too!
Cheers
Marilyn
