Catedral de Eivissa

Dedicated to the Virgen De Las Nieves.
The cathedral was originally in Gothic style, although it moved towards the Baroque in subsequent modifications.
In 1235, Catalonian troops under Guillem de Montgrí promised that if they managed to conquer Ibiza they would build a church. This promise led to the consecration of a parish church that they built on the site of the Yebisah mosque. It was initially built in the 14th century in Gothic style and was restored in the 18th century, now with a Baroque style. The exterior is severe and sober, with strong buttresses. The church is dedicated to Santa María la Mayor, or Nuestra Señora de las Nieves.

The place is very characteristic of this beautiful island and your composition has a great sense of depth and perspective. The fine strong summer light gives a real Mediterranean atmosphere. A classic travel shot, very informative as well.

This church has many architectural influences throughout history. Very beautiful composition with the bridge and the big wall in the foreground. Excellent colors, light and details.

Dear Burak

That is a very nice city which has kept its charm as it looks. The plant in the foreground boost DOF, colors are nice and sharpness great. Personally I would enhance the colors a bit, but that is my personal taste and in the end, I do not know how the place looks in reality.

Hello Burak,

The bridge makes a fine lead-in, and I notice the impressive wall that used to protect this part of the town!
The green plant in front is a creative inclusion, adding a tad of colour and creating a feeling of depth...
A well framed view with good details!

Hello Burak.
I do not know Ibiza, but I like much this apprehension in vertically, with the cathedral in the high thing and seeing well the door of the wall, I like the detail of the flowerpot in the first plane. Very good color and brightness.

This is a nice POV to show the Cathedral and the walls of D'Alt Villa (old Ibiza), but I would do this shot without the plant in front, just two or three meters ahead.
