Montichiello Photo

Photographer’s Note

Montichiello est un village médiéval situé dans le Val d'Orcia entre Pienza et Montepuliciano. Moins célèbre que ses voisins mais aussi moins fréquenté par les touristes, c'est un village plein de charme.
Ici la porte d'entrée du village entouré de murailles et surplombé par un château.

La porte en forme d'arche cadre bien la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs de l'architecture de cette partie du village. L'image est claire et nette. La lumière environnante rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirée.

Hello Roger.
A very carefully composed and eye-catching photo, full of great detail, very clear and sharp. You used the arch well as a framing device, but also show a third structure in the background. Great depth. It looks a lovely village. Nice work.

bella vista attraverso l'arco che fa da cornice naturale alla tua foto.
Ottimo lo sharp, avrei però spostato l'inquadratura poco più a destra, in modo da non tagliare parte dell'arco, eliminando invece parte del muro a sinistra.

Hello Roger, On my last trip to Italy I fell in love with this type of scenery, you know the ones I mean, little narrow streets paved cobblestones, old buildings, sometimes with their washing hanging on the line, very similar to this. I had a big problem trying to capture these scenes mainly because the very difficult light conditions, I think. Here you have done a fantastic job and one that I would have been very proud off.
