Photographer’s Note
10-12 hours per day, 6 days a week.... this is the normal duty hours of a brick field in India.
You can find a plenty of child labourers and woman labourers. The payment varies from
Rs 60-80 ($1.5 to $2) per day. the youngest get the least. Most of the labourers reside in a temporary house with their family and most of the family members are engaged in the work.
