Photographer’s Note

Sivas Ulu Mosque (1196-1197)
It was built by Kul Ahi in the times of Kutbeddin Melikşah , the son of Kılıçarslan. It is one of the oldest mosques of Anatolia.
It is entered from east, north and west sides to the rectangle east west situated backyard. It covers a square of 31 X 54 meters (inside) and 1674 m2 areas. The main praying place is the inner side situated by eleven stone bands in the north and south.
The construction is made from stones and the minaret from bricks.
It's charity is lost during the Timur invasion.

Sivas Ulu Camii (1196-1197)
Kılıçarslan'ın oğlu Kutbeddin Melikşah zamanında Kul Ahi tarafından yaptırılmıştır. Anadolu'nun en eski camilerindendir.
Doğu batı doğrultusunda dikdörtgen planlı avluya kuzey, doğu ve batı yönlerinden girilmektedir. 31 X 54 metre iç ölçülerindeki yapı 1674 metrekarelik bir alana oturmaktadır. Asıl ibadet alanı kuzey güney doğrultusundaki on bir sahnı oluşturan kesme taş örgülü elli adet ayağın kemerlerle birbirine bağlandığı iç alandır.
Bina kesme taştan, minaresi ise tuğladandır.
Vakfiyesi Timur istilası sırasında kaybolmuştur.

sigma 10-20 kullanımı cok zor bir lens,ozellikle bu tur simetrik karelerde fotografcının bulundugu yer 1-2 cm bile olması gerektigi yerde değilse bu kuçuk sapmayı adeta abartıyor bu lens))burada da zemindeki halı desensiz olsa belki bu kadar farkedilmeyecek olan durus yerinin azıcık solda olması beni biraz rahatsız etti,diger ayrıntılar guzel...
not;bunca yılın fotograf arkadşlığına istinaden bazı dostlara naçizane beni rahatsız eden şeyleri yazıyorum,yoksa herkesin herkese her daim ego yükseltici şahane,olağanüstü,mükemmel deyislerinden çok sıkılmış durumdayım,

I like this scene for the repetition of the arches and the calligraphy in the carpet all leading the viewer to the circle of light. Excellent image.

Hi Ugur,

The drawing of the carpet reinforces the already existing prospect on this photograph. I like much the management of the light. I will have perhaps just framed a little higher in order to have the totality of the arcade of the foreground. Pretty and interesting glance, thank you Ugur.

I've been looking at your photos...there is alot to look at, alot of great shots.

This one in paticular, is difficult to perfect due to shadows, lighting and contrasts.
