Photographer’s Note
Walking through my hometown the other morning I stopped to look at our new Council offices, its a really good piece of modern architecture. i love its wing design window shades and the aluminium coverings. The wind was howling and the clouds were scudding by at a great rate, you know the feeling when you look up at a tall bilding and the movement of the clouds makes you feel off balance. I love the shapes and colours.

Hello John,
Your vantage point gives this shot drama. The strong leading lines upward show the interesting geometric shapes and details of the building and lead the eye on to the blue sky above. The photographic quality, light, clarity, and shadows are excellent.
Kind regards,
Betty

hi John
Thanks for sharing this strong and striking image. I can see that you took pains to find a vantage point to create the perfect symmetry. The effort has really paid off as the geometrical design of the building is contrasted against the randomness of cloud formation in the sky.
Cheers

Hi John,
I thought we were having a conversation recently about your D90 not giving up sharp images, certainly not the case with this shot, it's as sharp as a tack.
It's a great shot, your POV and composition are perfect, the geometry created by the lines of the building are really interesting. Good light, the shade and highlights texture the surfaces perfectly.
Soft pictures, phooey :)
Cheers
Pete
