Photographer’s Note

A jazz club near Montparnasse station. I composed in order to have the microphone just in front of the trumpet (3200 ISO, hand held) and symetric to those in front of the drummer. Hats are also symetrical! Black atmosphere!

I like this shot with shadows and lights well composed..Another kind of shot,so impressive with the drummer in the middle of this photos playing his role..

This is indeed a very well composed picture, it swings! I like the blue colour harmony here with the drums and the drummer´s shirt and hat. An excellent jazz composition!

toujours un régal de te suivre dans tes delires photographiques !! cette image n'echappe pas à la règle, un beau travail entre l'ombre et la lumière, la vie et l'image. la pause lente dynamise le frappé de la baguette, que du bon.

Photo of musical performance is very difficult, since a person viewing the photo can not hear the sound though a photographer have the sound in his/her memory. However, this shot is very well composed by making good use of the visual effect.
This image reminds me of the performance of Autumn Leaves by Miles Davis at the Antibes Jazz Festival on July 27th 1963.
