the head without the eyes is “eros bendato” (eros bound) by the famous polish artist, igor mitoraj...

the big eye on the right is a part of the krakow film festival billboard (you may check the workshop to see the whole poster)...

Şahane bir başlık ve şiir.. Aradaki mesafeye rağmen netlikte kabul edilebilir düzeyde..Aradaki keskin duvar yüzünden bu resmi ikiz çekerek birinde göze diğerinde kadına odaklayabilirdiniz. Tabi bu arada kadın oradan gitmemişse...

Hi Korkut,
For me your shot has a kind of Salvador Dali feel about it with the differnet strange elemente of the head sculpture and the giant eye. Black and white also adds to the bizarre feeling and the lady adds good life and scale to the shot. Well seen.

I like mitoraj's work, I think they are great in the cities. I have read there were many controversions about this one but I find it very attractive. But here even more ionteresting with the woman waiting and this mysterious big eye. Fantastic intriguing composition.

Harika bir kompozisyon, yorumlarda da belirtildiği üzere büyük ustaların eserlerini çağrıştırır cinsten bir çalışma olmuş. Bana Dali'nin eserlerini çağrıştırdı.
Böylesine güzel çalışmaya çok geç yorum oldu ama bunu yaza vermek lazım, insan uzunca bir yoğunluğun ardından tatil moduna ve beklentisine girince tüm uğraşlar biraz ağırdan alınmaya başlıyor.

This is a lovely diptych, with an unusual juxtaposition of abstract and real, but fully in harmony, especially in black and white. I am impressed by the the highly imaginative approach the Poles take, not only at this site, but in many other genres. And in your photograph, you appear to have featured their originality.

Recently the twelfth foreign language edition of my book, "Math and the Mona Lisa," was announced (it will be released in October). It is by far the most unusual of the collection. The Mona Lisa was painted for the cover by a Picasso-like Polish artist. I will write you separately to, especially since we will be visiting Istanbul between August 4-9. Will you be around, or on holiday?

This is my city:).. city I adore but where can never make any "street photo".. a distance seems too short.. to make such a kind of shots it's good when you are an observer, neutral, not involved ..
As the matter of the sculpture you portrayed at the Main Sq. there was long and loud discussion if it should stay there or be placed somewhere else.. it's true that the present location isn't very convenient so the POV you proposed here makes one even more interesting.

Only 3 photographs from my country ?

I don't know why but I rarely arrive to photography when I am in Poland. I am to busy with my friends and my family...

So, I can underestand : you were with many people, you were drinking vodka and eating bigos, you were speaking with everybody, you were laughing very often, and you couldn't take a milion of photkas in Krakow !

Great POV makes this simple scene very interesting.
There is your own "glance à la Korkut".
