Photographer’s Note

taken inside amber fort, outside jaipur

the late 16th century amber (aa-mare) and the surrounding town was the capital of the kachwaha rajput rulers before they shifted base to next door jaipur. its dramatic hilltop location offers excellent views of the surrounding countryside, while its architectural features are considered an excellent amalgamation of hindu rajput and islamic mughal styles.

Welcome to TE. This is quite a beginning. I love all the scalloped lines and shades of red in this photo. There seems to be the right amount of everything.

the harsh light in the bottom make me think that it would maybe be better by cropping out this area

Hi Prayash,

Wonderful light management here in your first shot(?). The success of the shot lies in the perfect angle in which the three arches have been captured. Colors also loudly announce where it has been clicked. I had tried an almost identical shot at old fort delhi, but that came out not as brilliant as yours.

Since your first post is very nice, I can't resist but spare some words of wisdom ;-)
1) Try to maintain the habit of supplying very strong notes with each shot.
2) IMHO, in photography, your success lies in 'not' repeating yourself.

Gradation of colours contributes much to the depth of the picture, to say nothing about the archs.
