Photographer’s Note
These stones form part of the 'Hurlers', an early bronze age stone circle on Bodmin Moor, near minions. The engine house on the skyline is one of numerous ruins in this area, with its rich history of copper mining & tin streaming. Exposure reduced & contrast increased, as I do with most B&W shots, I find it adds depth & detail to the sky.

you have excellent photos. you have no notes! i find it difficult to learn anything about the photo, techniques or you if you don't write anything. you use of light and shadow are really good. just by looking at this shot, i can garner something about what you've done. but i crave more. thx

Hi James,
I love evocative old stones .. and you have amplified the thoughts of these with the sky, sun, and the blackest of blacks .. although as I look at this the conflict is the sun is a tremendous effect but in a way diminishes the scale of the stones themselves .. still a tremendous image I really like it.
Welcome to TE .. add some notes to let us learn about the place and image and leap right in and start critiquing. take care,
John

Hi James,
Really interesting and mysterious capture. Original composition and a little severe sky have caught my eyes the most. The next is fantastic light. Good work.
Best regards,
Andrzej
