Photographer’s Note

This is a 2nd picture taken in fishing village of Kuggören. This village is situated by the Baltic Sea in a peninsula called Hornslandet in the province of Hälsingland. Most of the houses of the village are now summer houses, but there are still two or three fishermen left in the village. This is the fishing boat of one of the fishermen.

A good combination picture of this high-tech fishing boat with the very traditional houses in the background. A very good summer atmosphere here, peaceful and calm, and very good colours!

The composition of this shot is very well balanced with the boat and its reflection in the FG, the water with a superb color well collected and the typische colured houses in the BG. An image full of plesant athmospher.

Wonderful clear light for an excellent quality image, with fine detail and clean lines. Well composed with the fishing boat acting almost as a frame for the typical Scandinavian houses in the background. It seems the 'summer-only' syndrome affects Sweden too.

Hei Ulf,

This is a fine wooden vessel, with a shape that indicates there may be ice in the waters over there during winter!
I also notice the well visible gear in the bow, indicating he is doing some kind of trawling... is it possibly shrimps there?
A well framed view, fine vivid colour and good details!

Hej Ulf,
I find an interesting juxtaposition of colours in this photo: the big boat and its two main colours - white and brown-yellowish - and those houses in the background on the left - they are also of almost the same colours (well, painted in the famous Falu rödfärg). The crisp, clear image conveys a good sunny mood and I can even almost smell fresh air :)
