During a bike trip I saw these driver of this horse on training

Horses and humans interact in many ways, not only in a wide variety of sport competitions and non-competitive recreational pursuits, but also in working activities including police work, agriculture, entertainment, assisted learning and therapy. Horses were historically used in warfare. A wide variety of riding and driving techniques have been developed, using many different styles of equipment and methods of control. Many products are derived from horses, including meat, milk, hide, hair, bone, and pharmaceuticals extracted from the urine of pregnant mares. Humans provide domesticated horses with food, water and shelter, as well as attention from specialists such as veterinarians and farriers.

Goed avond John,

Een andere zeer goed photowerk.
Très bel équilibre dans la composition avec le cheval et son cavalier tyrès bien situé sur la gauche de l'image. L'impression de vitesse est bien rendue notamment grâce au flouté sur les maisons dans le BG.

Moving the camera with the horseman created a wonderful effect here. The blurring of the landscape really gives the impression of speed, of motion. A worth-seeing picture!

Une vue très dynamique qui donne l'impression que ce cheval est entrain de se déplacer dans l'image. Un filé très réussi malgré les défauts de couleurs au niveau de l'encolure du cheval. Sinon, le cavalier est très bien cadré avec de la place devant lui.

Is there anything more beautiful or soul stirring than a horse galloping.
A wonderful moment captured perfectly, just enough shutter speed to freeze the horse and rider but to also give movement to the horses feet.

A great composition of horse and rider. The image has a good sense of dynamism with the horse's legs kicking up the dust and his tail flowing in the wind. Very good colours and sharpness.

The blurry background is putting in evidence the driver and the horse. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the action of the horse on training and its rider. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Hoi John, vandaag een heus panning shot, fraai. Het effect is heel dynamisch en doordat de ruiter slechts het eerste deel van het frame in beslag neemt werkt het ook verhalend. En tenslotte is er ook qua kleurvlakverdeling een sprekend rood-groen-blauw geheel. Mooi werk John!
Een fijn weekend toegewenst vanuit een 2/3 bewolkt maar warm (23 gr) Rotterdam!

It is a very dynamic and very well caught scene, in a shot that freezes the horse and its rider while offers us the movement in the blurry effect of the landscape and the houses.
In spite of a few problems of color in the neck of the horse, surely provoked by the compression of the jpg image, the photo is splendid, very well executed.

Hello John.
I like drawing horses since I was a child, and I often love to observe them in their movements. The animal in this image is captured at the time of the race, with omly one paw on the ground while the rear two ones are coming soon.
Excellent capture, but with some noise (?) on the horse's neck.

This is a bit out of your normal photographic niche. It is well done, the panning looks to be almost perfect (the horses head is every so slightly OOF), but I think this may be helping the illusion of motion. I am a bit torn about this one element. Otherwise, excellent.

Ik dacht dat ik eergisteren al bij dit fraaie paard en zijn ruiter een commentaar had geschreven, maar kennelijk was ik bevangen door het benauwde en broeierige weer en ben vergeten op de juiste knop te drukken. Ik kan me herinneren dat ik iets had geschreven over de koele wind die je voelt als je zo door het fraaie Vlaamse land rijdt.

Very cool shot, I enjoyed looking at your other pictures of Belgium. I had a friend just move there, he stated how boring he is right now. Maybe because his wife has been unable to join him yet. This is a very cool action shot, I like the blur in the background, makes the horse look like it is moving very fast. TFS.

Le panning offre des sensations vraiment intéressantes, je n'ai pas encore tenté ce genre d'exercice et c'est très tentant, va falloir que je me lance !!! En tous les cas bon résultat ici, l'effet de mouvement est bien ressorti sur l'image. Cadrage top, bien vu John, bravo.

pretty difficult task, this panning is. but you made a very good photo out of this fast riding duo! some grains visible on the neck of the horse, but this happens sometimes :)

A good panning effect with the horse & rider in sharp focus and the BG in a blur evidencing fast motion. I notice some colour noise around the horse neck...wonder why! The timig of capture is good...this is not an easy image to capture...well done!

If we don't care about the final quality result, this is a nice example of the pano technique to get some extra movement effect in the picture.

Time ago I tried in a race cars track near Madrid; I got some good results like this one.
