Photographer’s Note
This is another church from Palaios Platanos,
it is the temple of Agios Ioannis Prodromos, Saint John.
This one is partly destroyed and there is no top.
The history of Palaios Platanos, as posted yesterday in my previous upload:
"In the 16th century residents from South Almiros and Ancient Alos immigrated to Platanos because of a plague disease. During the war against the Ottoman Empire, the village was burned down three times, in 1821, 1833 and 1854. In 1878 Palios Platanos was fully destroyed from the Ottoman army. In 1897 a part of the village was once again burned. During the 2nd World War, the Italian army was the last to fully burn Palios Platanos. In 1960 the village was deserted. Its residents moved to a new location, where the new village Platanos was built".
The new village is built a couple of kilometers away.

Hi Kostas,
Your low POV is a very good choice, the deserted church really dominates the frame.
Good composition, I like the way the added elements sit within the frame.
That blue Greek sky looks wonderful.
Very good shot, interesting note too, it is most informative.
Strange that an entire village could be abandoned in this way.

Peter

Hello Constantinos

Hello Kostas,
A strong point of view that is resulting in fine dynamics in the composition!
The blue sky with the fluffy white colouds make a fine background for the old structure...
Sharp fine details in the architecture!
Greetings,
Pablo -
