Photographer’s Note
To entrance into Old Fortress there is a bridge and a moat. This sunk fence is used to separate the old town from the old fortress. This photo was taken from the top of that bridge.

Very interesting point of view, gives us a nice idea of the relative size of the fortifications and the surrounding landscape. I think that the correct word for "Sunken Fence" is "Moat", an old English word.
I always enjoy your pictures of Greece, sorry I've been away from TrekEarth for a while...

Τι μου θυμίζεις τώρα... Είχα επισκεφτεί την Κέρκυρα όταν ήμουν αρκετά μικρή και αυτό το μέρος είναι ένα από τα λίγα πράγματα που θυμάμαι! Μου είχε κάνει εντύπωση.
