So very Cycladic Photo

Photographer’s Note

Surprisingly, there seem to comparatively few pictures of white and blue Greek buildings on TE. Maybe most people avoid to show this ultimate Greek cliché. But as I was sitting on the verandah outside my room on the island of Donousa, I suddenly saw this composition and couldn't resist it. For a short moment that day, even the sky was Cycladic.

I should say: this is one of the most unusual and original geometric photos I have ever seen! hmm...
There's not much to see here except for various tints of blue and white, but all together they remind of a cheerful abstractionist painting :)
Yes, every country has its colour, and Greece really looks like a combination of blue and white.

A very unusual colour combination, I don´t think I have ever seen anything like this before! A very complicated composition, but , at the same time, quite intriguing!

Hi Gert,

indeed, white and blue - typical Cycladic colours. Very simple composition, only some lines and two colours but a nice one.

I am not going to evaluate this picture on photographic, compositional or technical scales at all! I will try to see this as you saw this while taking it. and I can see the beauty in its simplicity.

Its good to see you still posting since a lot of good photographers have left after the monstrosity of redesign.
