Seen in the hamlet of Cumond in the commune of Cumond-Saint-Antoine. The buildings that you can see are in the grounds of the château. The château is in private hands and cannot be visited or seen to any great extent.
Cumond-Saint-Antoine is a commune in the Dordogne départment in South-West France. It encompasses the former pre-Revolutionery parishes of Cumont and Mirand, part of that of Saint-Privat and part of the commanderie of Saint-Antoine. Formerly know simply as Cumond, the commune received its present name of Cumond-Saint-Antoine in 1924.

Bonjour Stephen

Bravo.
Bonne journée
Cordialement

Hi Stephen,
With a surname of Wall, I feel a certain affinity to this strong, dependable, solid looking structure :))
A nice shot, plenty to look at, a frame packed with interesting visuals.
Good POV and excellent composition. I love the sky, it looks like an afternoon thunderstorm could be building.
Good work.

Peter

A very attractive image with pleasant and appealing pastel colours; very soothing to look at. It was a good idea to include the right side wall as it gives added depth to the scene.

Hi Stephen,
Un mur c'est simple à priori et pourtant quand c'est bien shooté ça devient magnifique. C'est le cas ici. La tour ronde et les toits roses donnent une note de chaleur à ce mur, réhaussé encore par le ciel bleu.

Hi Stephen.
I only just finished a critique for one of Peter WALL's shots and then looked in your gallery and found this one!
It's a pleasing shot of some delightful old textures, and there's not one bit of modern consumer society in sight. The composition is well structured and the sky is a beauty. The corner of the wall makes a pleasing line with the round tower. Great note, too.
Regards,
Andrew

Stephen,
This is very similar to the walled chateaus we saw in the Burgundy region. Your composition and POV are nice using the corner of the wall as a focal point. The walls add a nice sense of direction to the scene. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail.
TFS,
Asa
