Photographer’s Note
A view of the Spray Lakes from near the summit of a mountain in Kananaskis Country. The Road seen by the lake is the Smith Dorrien Trail that connect Canmore to the Kananaskis Lakes. This is a gravel road that extend 60 kms and is kept that way to avoid hordes of tourist buses that plague other areas of the Rockies. A beautiful area of Alberta. Enjoy.

Hi Roberto,
I know you only post shots like this to make all of us over here in Australia as envious as hell because you know we don't have any mountains. Well it works, I'm as envious as hell.
Beautiful photograph, crystal clear and as pretty as a picture.

This is my wife's cousin's favorite place to hike, but I've never been to this part of K-Country. We're planning on visiting Calgary next summer. Looks like I'll need to spend some more time in Kananaskis--I've only ever been in the winter, haha. Like the composition here, and the light's not too bad. Something seems to be mising, like a bit of sharpness, or perhaps a bit more contrast in the mountains. Can't quite put my finger on it. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Hello Roberto,
I hesitated between the Festival of Canada and this image. I prefer this one, and his splendid landscape. It is really a fantastic country by its vastness, by omnipresent water, its varied landscapes. The realization is remarkable. Congratulations.

G'day Roberto!
You know how to really upset me, eh? All I can do from this distance is lust at your wonderful image of this great scene, and curse the tyranny of distance! My 'other half' (Colleen) is in Radium BC as I write (7/7/09) - how could she be so cruel & not take me!!
Best wishes,

Un peu comme les montagnes suisses, les Rocky mountains sont magnifiques et les photographes se doivent de bien les réussir pour les honorer, chose que tu as bien comprise en choisissant un PÖV parfait.

Hi Roberto,
I didn't had the chance to visit Kananaskis Country, but I know that I have missed an opportunity to see some wonderful landscapes that are out of the usual circuit.
This overview shot is a fine example of the other natural treasures left to admire. You had some great weather conditions to create a remarkable photo, where the sense of wilderness and vastness is showed corner to corner.
One very bad critique is following... :-P) Roberto, you have to pay more attention when cloning a part of your photo, selecting different sources to avoid an obvious repeating pattern like you did in the left lower corner.
A bad post-process can damage a good image... This shot deserves a better intervention!... ;-)

A beautifull lanscape. The point of view is psectacular and gives a excellent sight.
I like very much the color of the lake, a bit narrow (I thought it was a large river), but here it is nice because you can see both sides.
All the best,
