Photographer’s Note
While traveling in a city bus to Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal Sai Tai Mai I saw this daily life scene at the road side in Thonburi, the sister town of Bangkok. Every day a soup hawker will prepare its kitchen cart, boil the water for the soups to be served over the next few hours on the roadside. You just order the soup or what ever they have, grab a chair and eat. It's that simple.
Thonburi is at the other side of the Chao Praya river with divides Greater Bangkok.

Hello Urs,
It is proven that nothing soothes the soul with a hot bowl of soup. Though I prefer less spicy ones if having it as your first meal.
You capture the back of the kitchen that is seeing all the details, like those white plastic bags if you want some to take out? Like the daily life style captured as you walk along the street corners of Thonburi.
Enjoy the soup!

Hi Urs,
really life, good reportage and shot. Amazing "soup market" on the wheels. Well done photo but only more sharpness needed image (in my opinion).

Hallo Urs,
Your photos are an excellent documentary on the daily life in these countries not known for me, and it is the true T.E's spirit.
Your work offers us a great graphical and vital information.
I like the composition with so many elements, that they give a great richness to the image.
Warmest regards,
Josep

Hi Urs,
The moment my eyes locked on that green gas canister, I was thinking that is from Petronas. Then I realized that the scene was captured in Bangkok. I have been to Thonburi near the AIT campus there for two weeks. Very good daily life scene and TFS.
Best regards,
Jusni

Hi Urs,
Good shoot to show a busy corner in good business, same as Kuala Lumpur too with many this types of hawkers and customers sitting on seats at the street to taste the foods, normally prices of foods at stalls are cheaper than foods in restaurants, but sometimes I doubt the hygiene level of outside foods, thanks for sharing a lively shoot with including the little mobile kitchen.
