Photographer’s Note
This is a view of the bottom of the cliffs from the top of the cliffs at North Head, Manly. North Head (and it's partner South Head) form the gateway to Sydney Harbour. The coastline is dominated by sheer cliffs like this one, which can be viewed from the Fairfax Nature Walk, a short walk from the carpark facility or about 40 minutes' walk from the centre of Manly village.

"I want to give away...I wanna fly away...yeehh" )L. Krawitz
that's the sound blasting into my ears while seeing this shot!
the title is the opposite of Van Hallen's one (Jump!)....and I think Nelly Furtado's "I am like a bird...I wanna fly away" is too soft for me
have a nice beginning of the week! (You are almost on monday now....)

Hi Lisa,
nice vertigo. It looks we are gonna fall! I like a lot how you framed this rock. The diagonal makes the image a lot dynamic. Well done!

Hi lisa,
So, you were out my way again today, playing tour guide no doubt.
Good view of the rocks with the waves swirling around, I'm surprised you got some sun before the rain started again. The diagonal cliff edge running across frame works.

Good morning Lisa,
I sure hope there are some guard rails there to keep me from falling off if I ever get back to Sydney - I don't drink but if I happen to I won't wobble, but if I happen to, I certainly won't fall down, but if I happen to I sure wouldn't want to end up there!
My knees are wobbling a little now, probably because I just got up and I'm old...
Nice framing, great stop-action shot, no more trickling today!
Hope your weekend was nice!

Hello Lisa,
I get vertigo just looking at the picture! Superb downwards point of view on this rock shoreline. The breakers are very well captured, I can almost hear the waves crashing on the rocks. Excellent sharpness.

Hi Lisa,
I did not realise you have a camera that operates under 10 seconds :) Yes, I have got to agreee with phwall & co that the diagonal here is great. Nice splash of yellow in the left fg. Great colours overall and I do love the bright white swirl of the ocean waves. Nice clean clear sharp shot.
Cheers, Graham.

It is a very nice shot. You did manage very well the depth by keeping in the frame that large part of the foreground. Well done.

Hi Lisa, The parrelel diagonals formed by the FG and BG rocks work well. The FG ledge looks a little OOF. Looks like you focused on the BG; I think I would have focused beyond the ledge, but not at the bottom. Also I thought the colours looked a little flat. To see if I could make it better I did a WS. have a good w/e. cheers

Hi Lisa.
I realised I hadn't seen your gallery for a while!
My first reaction to this one is 'Don't jump.' But I think the famous jumping-off point may be the South Head.
Anyway, the composition is really good, with rocky shoreline making a pleasing diagonal, and the sharp rocks and flowers in the foreground adding a great sense of depth. You captured the light nicely, too. The fast shutter speed was just right to freeze the white foam of the waves.
This is the sort of shot I would find difficult, as I seem to suffer mildly from vertigo. I trust you were hanging over a guard rail.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Lisa,
Aha, I believe Peter would have caught you encroaching into his self-claim territory stretching from the northern end of the coat hanger to Narrabean..:)))
A nice compo comprising the FG grass/flowers,cliff and ever unrelenting waves which looks so soft and gentle embracing the rocky shore. I think it would be better still if you have sharp focus on the FG to produce a better depth.
Cheers

Ciao Lisa, bentornata!
La diagonale che divide in due parti eque la foto ed il grandissimo POV ha creato un'immagine bella e molto attraente.
Fantastico il colore del mare e la schiuma bianca che si infrange sugli scogli.
Un carissimo abbraccio.
Giorgio
