Photographer’s Note
An honesty box is a method of charging for a service such as admission or car parking, or for a product such as home-grown produce and flowers, which relies upon each visitor to pay at an unattended box using the honour system. Tickets are not issued and such sites are usually unmanned. The name derives from the reliance on the honesty of the visitor to pay. Some stores also use them for selling newspapers to avoid queues at a till.
Such boxes are typically used in rural areas where the either number of visitors/customers or the quantity and value of the products on offer is sufficiently low that a manned presence would bring positive return on investment [1]. Many are also domestically-run operations where a manned presence is not feasible to carry out.

I have seen those boxes many times on country roads but I do not remember the seen the name. It is a nice bright shot with a terrific DOF.

Hello Kamran,
This box shines very nicely in the sun. On the thumbnail it looks a bit like a Swedish flag where the colours went wrong ;-)
It's a simple and attractive composition featuring an interesting aspect of society. I believe one can find similar boxes here and there in Sweden, but certainly not with a name like that.
Regards,
Gert

Hi Kamran, good composition in this shot of an everyday object. Short DOF was a good choice; colours and sharpness are also good. Always impressed by interesting shots made from everyday things. Cheers, Steve

Hi Kamran, wow what a beautifully shallow DOF you have here, it's really admirable. And the light management too. I also like the positioning of the subject to the left of the frame, it's a really novel composition and beautifully taken. Excellent work, Lisa.

Assalamalaikum Kamran and congratulations on the T20 WC! I love the way the light falls on this box and the clarity with which you have captured this. its crisp and lovely. The note of course makes it so special. Trust me...wouldn't work in our part of the world...the first thing to go would be the box itself!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Kamran,
this is the kind of detail that I like. Beautiful light and bokeh on top of it. Good job, works for me.

Hi Kamran.
Lovely simple statement, enhanced by the golden light, the sharpness and the shallow DOF. Good explanation chosen to go with it. A bold upload, for sure, with such minimalist subject matter, but it looks great. I do like the very solid looking padlock on it, though! Protection against DIShonesty! Well done and best wishes.

Andrew

Hello Kamran,
A first classed shot of this simple subject with interesting light falling on the curved surface, sharpness is unquestionable, excellent use of the DOF. I have to agree with aadilj that this nice looking box would be perfect to be taken away as scrapped metal.
Regards
Alfred

Hello Kamran, Simple & attractive composition, nice warm glow, enhanced by your descriptive note. Honesty? only to a certain extent, I think that lock tells another story.
Well done.
Cheers
Santo
