Hi Karen
I like so much these rodeo series. How you managed to catch such moments? The timing is incredible, haha, where is the leg of the horse! And all these cowboys like in old times. Thanks!

Hi Karen,
you caught a very decisive moment. The image is very sharp and the colors are vivid and bright.
Nice job.

Hi Karen!
Wow, excellent, very impressive and very interesting series, this particular one is the closest one to be included to the "decisive moment" category, seems that these were the last fractions of a second with the rider still on the saddle! Great framing, great composition, perfect focus, excellent timing! Congratulations!

Hi, Karen -
Another very good action shot, generally well framed and clear and crisp, with sharp colors.
You asked for suggestions. Well, it's always hard to control an action shot, but I do have a slight problem with the angled ladder in the UR; it's the one diagonal in a photo of pure horizontals and verticals (not counting the cowboy), and it doesn't lead the eye anywhere. The cut sleeve on the left edge doesn't bother me (it leads us into the picture), but the cut nose on the right does lead us out of the frame.
But then, this is an action shot, not a studio setup. You done good.
Best,
Dan

Hi Karen,
I am very pleased to hear that no one was injured... Maybe this is your answer to all my question about helmets! If this had been in Sweden... Whatever, a very fine photo again!
Kind regards

Hello Karen
Wow ...! One shot too well defined and appropriate, to capture a scene with strength, dynamism, agility and perfect frame.
I am very pleased that the power is radiated in the main, and left with the sharpness.
Big hug and congratulations, John

Hi Karen,
A great in action shot, the horse looks really wild. The three onlookers in the backround are balanced out well by the two on the other side.

hi Karen
good timing on this one again. as to improvements: one thing that 'bothers' me a bit is that the bright background is competing aggressively with the main attraction: the rider and the horse. not much you could do about it though in these conditions. one possibility would be to use a telephoto with very wide aperture (2.8 and wider...), which would help blur out the background and give you extra speed. those babies are quite expensive though (but one can rent them too).

Hello Karen,
parmi toutes ces photos, sur le plan du choix précis du moment, celle-ci est la plus réussie.
Amicalement.

just look at that leg, I bet the horse is aiming for job of prima ballerina :) I used to own two horses, and one of them would test me every single time I got on to see how much it could get away with, but I don't think it ever got as intense as this moment. great series, Karen, love browsing these photos.
and I don't see anything that should be improved. in fact I am very, VERY impressed with the composition, the spectators in the background and man on the left work well to frame the two main subject. exposure feels very natural, all details sharp, excellent work.
regards,
Kristine

Karen, I love your rodeo stuff, it is really great. Your comment about my shaking moose, you would have some of that kind of blur if you slowed the shutter on these type shots as well. Great work.
