Photographer’s Note
"How glorius a greeting the sun gives the mountains!
To behold this alone is worth the pains of any excursion a thousand times over. The highest peaks burned like islands in a sea of liquid shade. Then the lower peaks and spires caught the glow, and long lances of light, streaming through many a notch and pass, fell thick on the frozen meadows."
--- JOHN MUIR
Wood's Lake is one of my favorite 'base camps' for camping, and hiking the trail to Round Top Mountain, which can be seen peeking over the top in the distance.
This trail offers some of the best wildflower scenery ever and a creek with small waterfalls is a bonus.
Located near California's Highway 88 not far past Caples Lake, in the heart of the Sierra Nevada.

Hi Ray,
This place is absolutely amazing. I really like the way colours and brightness fill up the whole image and I also love the reflection on the water surface. I'm very impressed.
Best regards,
