Marktschellenberg ist ein Markt im südlichen Landkreis Berchtesgadener Land, Regierungsbezirk Oberbayern.
Der Ort wurde 1112 erstmals erwähnt, nur 10 Jahre nach der Nachbargemeinde Berchtesgaden. Wie auch in Berchtesgaden wurde in Schellenberg eine Saline und 1286 ein Salzamt eingerichtet. Die Saline war bis 1805 in Betrieb.

Die Marktrechte erhielt Schellenberg 1292.

Hi Georg,
The street curves very nicely along the houses and the narrow view of the sky matches the colour of these houses in a very harmonic way. The small inclusion of mountain in the BG is also good!

W kategorii ARCHITEKTURA to Ty jednak jestes mistrzunio. Bezbledna kompozycja a swiatlo i kolory naprawde bardzo oczom przyjazne. Tak sie zastanawiam, w jakich godzinach Ty robisz te zdjecia, ze tam tak pusto. Pikne foto!

Hallo Georg,
Lately I have found myself using POV's like this one. I find them quite difficult because of perspective, contrast and the constant presence of cars. But they when they are well done like this, they are very effective transmitting the sense of being there, wandering around and appreciating the architecture, which is very charming here.
