The rich colors, the dark water, and the small (human-sized) scale create such a rich feeling in this photo. I especially like the way that you've achieved some balance in the variety of colors displayed, with the large yellow tree on the left serving as a counterweight for the smaller red and orange trees on the right. The snag in the left foreground is a nice final touch.
