Photographer’s Note
When you arrive for first time to Syros and Ermoupolis this is what you see.
I shot through one of the little boats of the ferry and also I took advantatge of the last light of the day.
If you come alone and you know a lot of this island maybe you arrive scared.
It doesn't look a paradisiac place... but suddenly you arrive to the main avenue and you arrive till the city hall with its wonderful neoclassical building... and only a few minutes later you met for first time its people and its night... and believe me, that's wonderful.
Close here there is a place called the Bohème del Mar and also another bar called Peyote. Don't be scared... I am not that kind of man who needs party when is in holidays... but this is the best way to met the local people.
When I arrived it was late and it was the next day when I discovered its wonderful streets, its "chora" and also its two cathedral and the monastery in Anno Syros... and believe me, I fell in love.
Visit Syros.
Don't miss it.
I hope you like it.
PD: I wanted to avoid the most usual and known "postcards" of the island... but there will be time for them
PD: dedicated to all the people whom I met there

Bonjour Carlos,
Dominante rouge, j'aime beaucoup!

mmmmmmm Hola Carlos ,

Hercules

Hi Carlos,
I find your picture very nice, we can see the city under the crane, very far in depth
You play very well with light and shadow.
Very well captured and nice composed. TFS.
Have a nice weekend,
John.

Hi Carlos,
it is an unusual shot from Kyklades. I like the idea.
Having it against the sun certainly did not help,
but the composition is great,

Hello Carlos,
An original view and fine colours. I also try to avoid the most typical postcards views. Sometimes it's hard, but looking carefully there are always new angles to be found.
Best wishes,
Gert
