Photographer’s Note

I thought it was a nice opportunity to celebrate my birthday this year by going to my favorite summer retreat on the Aegean, Horefto. Nothing really changes in the place year in year out, and the first fans of the place had already started gathering to catch the freshness of the spot. The same straw umbrellas and a weather that changes in the nick of time. It started as a nice day but around 8 am a fresh "meltem" and some nice clouds appeared and made it quite difficult given the fact that it was still chilly. Some stayed there to watch the waves and some others took the opportunity for a couple of nice shots before starting the "ouzo" ritual !!!

You know best! Superb presentation.

The symmetry. The blue, the path and umbrella sheds. Add some blue sky, the down beam of light from the white clouds.

It really makes a great scenery! Good work.

Well composed in wonderful light. Your perspective is well chosen and there is good depth, yellow path going to the umbrellas just in the middle of the photograph is a great idea.

I like very much the construction of this picture,with the symetry made by the yellow path and the yellow umbrellas,and with the 2 equal bands of sand and water!The colors are beautiful,and the sky has an incredible relief,this is wondeful!

Αργύρη καλησπέρα,
πολύ ωραίο το σκηνικό με τις παρατεταγμένες ομπρέλες και τον κίτρινο διάδρομο να δημιουργεί βάθος στη φωτό σου.Μου αρέσει η τοποθέτηση του ορίζοντα όπως επίσης και ο καταπληκτικός ουρανός.

A classic beach shot, so well seen and captured.
I like your composition a lot, using just the bottom of frame for the beach and water really gives the viewer a taste of that wonderful Aegean sky.
Very good post work, just enough to bring out the best attributes of the image.

Hello Dear Argiris,

The clouds have collaborated in giving this scene a virtually symmetric perspective, to the point where the only symmetry breaking is a slight curve in the wooded walkway, and the cluster of humanity on the left, that is missing on the right. This is superb shot. When is you birthday (I just had mine on June 10).

Δάσκαλε που δίδασκες ....!
Ανοίγεις δρόμο για τις παραλίες, φτιάχνεις την διάθεση του κόσμου για βουτιές και ανεμελιά. Ελπίζω όχι για εισροή λαθρομεταναστών και τα επακόλουθα.
Το τμήμα του ουρανού υπερισχύει στο κάδρο και οι ηλιαχτίδες που πέφτουν στη γη σε συνδυασμό με τις ομπρέλες και στο ίδιο χνώτο ο διάδρομος, σκηνοθετούν εξωτικό τοπίο! Κι όμως Ελληνικό!

I love your composition, with its partial symetry, very well done.
As far as I am concerned, the colours in the sky are not so natural, I am not sure I like this a lot. But I have to say that the clouds are superb and I like the way the rays of sun comes to lighten the horizon.

Πολύ καλή επιλογή η παραχώρηση των 3/4 του κάντρου σου στον επιβλητικό ουρανό, πράγμα το οποίο έδωσε την αίσθηση αφενός του "απέραντου" και αφετέρου της ελευθερίας.
Όμορφη πινελιά στην σύνθεση σου τα θερμά χρώματα από τις ομπρέλες και τον ξύλινο διάδρομο.
