Photographer’s Note

Achill Island boasts some of the finest beaches in Ireland, including no fewer than five Blue Flag beaches. The Blue Flag scheme is an international standard for beaches and marinas and is assessed on an annual basis. The criteria for qualification include water quality, environmental education, environmental management, and safety and services.

In Ireland the Blue Flag scheme is administered by An Taisce, the national body for heritage and the environment.
his beautiful Blue Flag beach is nestled in the valley between the slopes of Croaghaun mountain and Moyteoge Head. Accessible via a cliff-top road (a drive not for the feint-hearted!), Keem Bay is a perfect horseshoe bay and its Atlantic waters are perfect for bathing on a hot summer's day.

Czesc Pablo,
Zdjecie piekne do bolu i dopracowane prawie w kazdym szczegole, ale tego, ze uciekl Ci troszke horyzont w prawo (sprawdzalem na liniach) Ci chyba nie wybacze! Klimat naprawde odjechany podobnie jak kolorki a takie niebo marzy mi sie na wszystkich moich fotkach. Poza ta zolta kartka za wode, ktora mi sie leje z prawej strony po monitorze jest to excellent shot i jedno z najlepszych zdjec w Twojej galerii!

Hi Pawel,
well first of all, it is Ireland, which I love, but also your picture is great. Love this great, deep blue sky full of clouds, the colors of the water and the sand, plus the well thought-of inclusion of the bright red boat to lead our eyes. Great job, I love it.

Hi Pawel, that's a wonderful view with vibrant colours amazing and sirrus clouds on the blue sky. It's surprising to see such tropical colours in the northern Atlantic.

Beautiful colours Pawel, just love that silky smooth appearance to the sky as the white goes to that lovely dark blue. The orange of the boat blends with with the greens of the island and ocean as well.

Czesc Pawel,
bardzo romatyczny widok. Wspaniale niebo. Podobaja mi sie cieple kolory.
Zastanawia mnie troche czemu tak skomponowales np obcinajac lodke ale moze chciales obciac jakichs ludzi ktorzy sie tam opalali.
Kolory wspaniale, widok po prostu jak z tropikow.
Dzieki za kolejny tip na wycieczke w Mayo.

The scene is very pretty. Love the blue sky and clouds effects. The boat was well located and it color result in a good contrast.

Bardzo podoba mi się umiejscowanie łódki w kadrze, landscapowe - jak je nazywam - kolory i ciepłe światło. Chmury też zagrały mistrzowsko. Bardzo wakacyjnie. Podoba się.

Pojechałeś tym zdjęciem ostrrrrrrrrro!
Genialny landszaft, jestem zachwycony kompozycją.
Po to wchodzę na TE żeby od takich mistrzów się uczyć. 3 żywioły jak na dłoni, mogłeś jeszcze tę łódkę podpalić... ;)
A na poważnie to jedyna rzecz, jaką bym tu jeszcze zrobił to trochę podprostował "horyzont" bo zdaje mi się minimalnie lecieć w prawo...
Wielkie brawa! Co za zdjęcie...

Hi Pawel,
I would never associate this image with Ireland. Not that Ireland doesn't offer amazing photographic opportunities, but I wouldn't expect to find an almost Caribbean sight in Ireland. The place is beautiful and that together with your compo and the well rendered colours gives a catchy image. The sky is an important part of the charm of the photo.

It was the sky that first attracted me to this image. I love the thin wispy clouds. I also like the way you composed the image with the boat pointing the way into the frame. One slight quibble is the horizon isn't quite level - easy to fix!

What a wonderful sky ! I like the contrast between it, the sea and the beach. I also like the way you placed the boat in your picture, pointing toward the moutains beyond the sea.

Dear Pawel,

To begin with the downsides, I was thinking about the horizon which is slightly tilted (but it's still okay, maybe it feels more 'human', real)and maybe you could have displayed more of the boat.

BUT! These are only tiny details and they do not change my overall impression of your composition which is still beautiful. I think a feeling is what matters and what we can see in this photo is simply sublime! Mother nature has done her best of course with drawing these clouds in the sky but it's fantastic how well you could make it more alive with this filter. I like the landscape in the distance too.

On the whole I adore this picture. Very pretty indeed and the technique is good!
