Photographer’s Note
The Mackinaw bridge is the currently the third longest suspension bridge in the world. The bridge opened to traffic on November 1, 1957.
It's total length is (five miles) 26,372 Ft. or 8,038 Meters. It's height above the water on the main towers is 552 Ft or 168.25 Meters.
At the time of our crossing, they had half of the bridge closed down for construction and resurfacing of the roads.
