Hungarian Parliament Building
Conference HallThe Hungarian Parliament Building (Hungarian: Országház) is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, one of Europe's oldest legislative buildings, a notable landmark of Hungary and a popular tourist destination of Budapest. It lies in Kossuth Lajos Square, on the bank of the Danube, in Budapest. It is currently the largest building in Hungary[1], and the second largest Parliament in Europe

History
Budapest was united from three cities in 1873 and seven years later the National Assembly resolved to establish a new, representative Parliament Building, expressing the sovereignty of the nation. A competition was published, which was won by Imre Steindl, but the plans of the other two competitors were also realized, facing the Parliament: one serves today as the Ethnographical Museum, the other as the Ministry of Agriculture.

Construction from the winning plan was started in 1885 and the building was inaugurated on the 1000th anniversary of the country in 1896, and completed in 1904. (The architect of the building went blind before its completion.)
There were about one thousand people working on its construction in which 40 million bricks, half a million precious stones and 40 kg gold were used.

Congratulations for this very nice night's view. The good managment of light give nice dored color which arise in the black of the night. Beautiful coloured reflections in the water too. Good balalnce in the composition with the river which lead the glance.

Hep şaşkınlıkla seyrederim böyle yerleri.Harp bile geçirmiş bu insanlar böyle güzel yapıtlarını nasıl koruyorlar? Biz Istanbul Sur içini böyle yapamadık.Çünkü geri zekalı yöneticiler kendilerini mimar sandılar.
Çok enfes bir gece manzarası.Yirmi küsür sene önce gezdiğim ve gördüğüm yerde bir değişiklik yok,güzellik devam ediyor.

Budapest'in en güzel fotografini siz çekmissiniz, elinize saglik. Görüyorum Nikon D300 kullanirken birden Canon 50D's geçmissiniz. Aralarinda ki farki nasil buluyorsunuz, bu muhtesem resmi Nikon D300 çekebilirmiydi acaba?

Splendid night scenery with golden reflections on the river. The house of Parlament emerges very well from the surrounding buildings and the colours create a fine atmosphere. Good composition too with the river forming a diagonal. An excellent work.

Budapest, that's another town I would love to visit. Not only the food, but also the music and the people. You have perfectily captured the essence of Budapest, not the political aspect, but my romantic dream to visit the town. It's a very nice composition with great DOF and a lot of details, possible it could be a bit sharper - hand held? - but I really like your shot. Well done

Night scene of a dream. We do not know how was the exposure time, but I believe that the necessary and appropriate to capture a beautiful shot.

The Danube is nicely placed in the diagonal, adding good dynamics to the composition!
The night scene is well exposed, and the majestic building stands out well also for the reason of a different light temperature...

A very nice night scene, with a good lighting of the buildings, and beautfill reflexions on the Danube. The foreground is less good in my opinion, but not very disturbing.

Hi Burak,
Very original composition, I have seen plenty of similar points of view, but you have designed the river bank very smartly to make a diagonal, plus by taking a close up you have plenty of colorful reflections.
I would just probably try to sharpen it a little more.
