Photographer’s Note
Hani in Yuanyang is a minority tribe in China.
They are poor farmers and eat what every it is available.
For some they still consider the "Western World" as violent people as they still still use weapons to eat "Knife and folk" and while they are eating cook food the western world is eating raw food (Half raw beef).
Who is more civilize is a matter of opinion.
The Hani are poor people they eat whatever is available.
I thank TE for providing a website to learn more about different culture and the world

Hi Tony,
Great job! Your comment is indeed very dyplomatic, isn't it :) I would do the same if I would be you :)
I congratulate you for this shot for some reasons. Let me then explain.
Well, I am personally not too shocked, as I knew about their different kind of taste. And you are right, as it is not due to the taste but more to the tradition and a different culture - as it is.
For some people that sight might be dramatic, drastic, whatever. In my opinion, which I want to underline, is that it is their own choice so they can eat whatever they want, couldn't they. It is out of any discussion.
In case if anyone would disagree, let me ask if I am wrong. But it is a fact, that in so called "civilised" and "democratic" countries, "rich people" eat all possible animals or god knows what else, because of "free choice" made by money.
Here, difference between "poor people" from China, and "rich people" from "Western World" is that they eat whatever is available because of hunger, not becasue of sick trend or other madness.
Why for so many people from "Western World" eating dog is something worse, or "dramatic" that eating cow, pig, or other .. beaver's nose?
Western World? What is this? "Free choice"? I do not think so. You can have a "free choice" if you have enough money. This is a part of World where people live in invincible cages.
If you have been in Asia, you know what I am about.
New World Order is approaching. All signs around are sufficient noticeable to agree with this..
Best regards
Lukasz
P.S. I fight with hypocritical idiots who think that "poor" means worse.

Hello Tony,
Excellent documentary shot, and suitably in bl/w! The shot, together with your note, is a great eye-opener. This is learning about the world.
Personally I don't really see the much (ethical) difference between dogmeat and beef or pork. I believe this is a matter of culture, rather than of rich versus poor, though.
