Photographer’s Note
The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village is an open-air museum that was built to resemble pioneer settlements in east central Alberta. Buildings from the surrounding communities have been moved to the Village and restored to various years within the first part of the twentieth century. As well, you can often meet people in historic costumes here who play the roles of the men, women and children who lived at the time.

Look at the reflection on the scale! Very nice detail on this composition Karen. Not sure that was intentional but it does look neat. Details also enhance the quality of this shot. Well taken picture of this interesting setting. Cheers :-)

Hello, Karen
I like the subtle KArnold on the scales bottom right. Wy more effective than a copyright or watermark! A superb historic record from the museum with excellent sharpness. Tfs!

Hello Karen,
A good capture of the interior of this grocery store; I like how you have included the old-fashioned scales in the foreground and the 'shopkeeper's' nonchalant pose. Good light management with excellent clarity.

Hi Karen
Now there is an old computer from IBM. Nicely composed with the young man in his early 20th century dress.

Hello Karen,
I like your framing. The light and the colors are captured with masterliness. I notice that the balance was built by IBM, multinational corporation in which I passed all my professional life, in Montpellier. A very beautiful image. Congratulations.
Have a nice day

Hi Karen,
This really looks like a photo from the twenties! A very fine capture from this museum. But I mede a WS her, where I cropped away the stove to the left, it seems like a certain distraction to me. The I cloned out that hand in the mirror, another distraction. I hope you don´t mind that I have made these suggestions to your photo ;)
Kind regards
Gunnar
PS The IBM scale is definitely a bonus!

Hi Karen,
Nice picture. This place with all the old style shops seems to be very interesting. I like the composition in diagonal using the counter to guide the eyes to the clerk. I guess a sepia would also be very nice here.

Hello Karen -
This one is well done. I like that the store clerk is engaged with a customer and we have a bit of eye contact even though it is not with the camera it is obvious that he is engaged with someone. Everything in the image is sharply in focus. Well seen and executed.
Thank you for sharing.

You have very nice exposure, Karen. I like the warm, soft light. Again you have caught the action at the right moment and the composition is sweet with the figure balanced by those fascinating scales. Regards Kevin

Hello Karen,
I like the point of view, looking along the counter!
The reconstructed shop has many fine details, including the smiling attendant...
I guess it is hard to find authentic merchandise nowadays so I forgive them the shortage hehehe!
Greetings,
Pablo -
