Photographer’s Note
A dark view of the Brandenburger Tor like here is not possible anymore today. On both sides behind the Brandenburger Tor you will find modern buildings generating lots of light.
This photo was taken in december 1994 when those building were not there yet, when it was still possible to stand in the middle op the street for minutes to take this photo. When surroundings of the Brandenburger Tor were still empty like it had been during the era of the cold war because of the Berlin Wall.
Nowadays it is a busy and important tourist spot, a meeting place. Traffic is no longer allowed to drive through.
Times have changed during the last 15 years. Berlin has changed and so has the role of the Brandenburger Tor, its place in history will long be remembered.

Harko,
This is a great night shot using the black background to set off the lighted structures. Your POV is fine showing us the view straight through the gate. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail.

Asa

Hoi Harko,
Een plaats dat veel herinneringen oproep uit het verleden.
U nam een schitterend nacht foto met een goede verlichting van de gebouwen.
Goed gedaan, bedankt.
Prettig weekend,
John
