Photographer’s Note
The start of the gorge is an easy walk, for about 20 minutes, and is lined on both sides by a variety of flora, including juniper, oleander, carob,fig and olive trees. The gorge itself is home Centauria Akamantis. When you reach the point where the sides of the Gorge narrow until they almost touch in places,that is where the difficulty really begins.If your fitness is not up to scratch, you should retrace your steps now and still have witnessed enough of the beuty of the gorge.
