Photographer’s Note
Western Wall was built by King Herod in 20 BC,during his expansion of the Tample enclosure and is part of a retaining wall that enclosed the western part of Tample Mount.According to the Roman-Jewish historian Josephus, constraction of the walls took 11 years, during whitch time it rained in Jerusalem, only at night so as not to interfere with the workers progress.
In 70 AD Romans destroyed Jerusalem and its Tample.
During Ottomans Period(beginning in the 16th century)the wall become the Jews'chief place of pilgrimage, were they came to lament the destruction of the Tample.

I hope I can see this by the end of June when I finish the current job offshore Haifa.
It is a nice shot, showing well this holy place. The wall is impressive and the photo has a superb sharpness. Excellent note too. Well done.
