Photographer’s Note
This is the old Gazi (Gaz) Factory, covering an area of about 30.000 m2 in the corner of Iera Odos and Pireos Str. The factory was constructed in 1857 and was functioning from 1863 until 1984. When it was closed it was the last Gaz Factory in Europe, working in the traditional way.
Today it hosts the Technopolis (City of Arts) of Athens, where art exhibitions and music concerts take place. If you want to read more, CHECK HERE

Hi Hercules,
Really nicely exposed image, good blue hour capture. I like the headlights zooming by on the highway and the saturation of the red stacks.
Have a nice one!

Hi Hercules,
beautiful blue hour shot. Blue hour has this special atmosphere that even a factory may look charming, and this is the case here, the colors are fantastic and the view in spite of being industrial has a very fairy tale like atmosphere. I like very much the contrast of red chimneys with blue sky.
Very nice composition,

Hi Hercules,
those bright red chimneys against the blue hour sky are really a treat for the eyes. Add the yellow of the building and you got a very eye-catching shot. I like it.

Hello Hercules,
An almost unreal composition with this hugely contrasting forms and colours. Well captured against the dark blue sky. Recovering old sites can often lead to fantastic new landscapes.

Good morning Hercules,
I do enjoy viewing your night photos as they give me an inspiration to do the same. This is a wonderful nocturnal image. The star-like effects from the post, the vivid colors, the sharpness are the highlights. Best regards...

Hello Hercules
You made this factory looking very attractive and framed it very well - with the inclusion of the 3 chimneys which stand out perfectly against the sky. The saturated colors are also well rendered. The star effect on the lamp post are nice detail to look at!
Cheers

Hi again :)
Andreas (doubay) and Katerina had taken me to Gazi last year, we had a walk around but -if I am not wrong- place was closed and we couldn't enter. Place reminds me of SantralIstanbul, btw did you visit Santral in Istanbul?!?!..
Beautiful night shot with star effects and light arrays on road. I like the contrast between red chimneys and blue sky.
Best wishes,
Burcu

Geia sou Hirakli,
It is the place which I discovered with Georgia on her gallery and which I very want to see in Athens. I shall come just some hours this summer, I don't know if I would have time to go there between the arrival of the plane and the departure of the boat !
You created a particular universe around this industrial architecture by playing with colors and traffic of cars.
It is very successful!

Hello Hercules,
Clearly the restoration of the old factory has made it attractive, with the clean lines and brilliant colors. But it is your well composed, flawlessly exposed photograph that makes it far more. You've intuitively chosen a vantage point that places the relative distances of the tall smoke stacks close to the golden ratio in their separation (phi = 1.62:1.00).
Warm regards, Hercules,
Bulent
