Photographer’s Note
The Church of the Virgen del Consuelo, Altea, Alicante, Spain.
It's a pretty shot in colour, but rendered into black and white, the building and the dramatic sky become more integrated.

I agree wholeheartedly with your description in regards to the use of black and white. I cannot imagine it any prettier with color. Wonderful capture of shadows as well, which adds to the b/w contrasts in this photo. Despite the good contrast of shadows, you've left enough light for us to appreciate the beautiful stonework on the chapel.
Well done!

Hi Rod,
The black and white conversion is very pleasant! I do like the shadow parts and the clouds above. A nice contrast as well, though I generally make it a bit more harsh. But that is a personal taste.
Thanks for sharing!
Greetings, Dennis
