This pic was taken at a place called Hatu around 65 KMs from Shimla in the rainy season. The fog during this time flows as per its own sweet will.

Welcome to TT. Enjoy your stay, it's a great forum, you will see.
When I saw the shot I immediately remembered Shimla, where I have seen the fog in a similar way. Your idea is great but why not add more of the forest? It would boost DOF. A bit of photoshop would not be bad, like adding some yellow to make the picture more vibrant.
