Photographer’s Note

In the interior of the Saint Kajetan Church (also known as the Theatinerkirche) at ca. 1800 hours in this period of the year, the light of the sun passes through a window atop the altar and shines inside it. It is scattered by the many particles of dust (and probably of smoke) inside the building, and therefore it is "seen" as a ray of light.
The day before I shot this picture, I went to this church and saw this phenomenon. Because I had not my camera with me at that very moment, I planned to revisit this place the next day --when I finally took the picture.
So, to take this picture I positioned myself at one side of the church close to the door. I used the 18mm end of the lens to include the man in front of me and also a bit of the ceiling.
This was the first picture out of 9 I took.
PP'd a little in PS.
