Photographer’s Note

The aquaway in Mardin, Zinciriye Madrasah.
This architectural detail (traditionally named as "Eyvan") symbolizes the stages of life. The spring, pouring out from a wall, symbolizes the birth. Potable natural water pours into the long, shallow pool (in the photo) which symbolizes the youth. Then it pours inside a shorter but a deeper pool, which is the old ages. And that last pool has a small hole at the bottom, from which the water pours out to meet somewhere with the Tigris River, running down at the feet of Mardin. This is the unision of the soul with the Eternal Spirit (God)...

La prise de vue avec la magie du miroitement est très bien faite.Bravo pour ce résultat.Les lignes, les couleurs sont parfaites, on dirait presque un décor abstrait.

neresi olduğuna bakmadım, Deniz Hindistan'a mı gitti dedim... Tabi Mardin'i görseydim tanırdım bu muhteşem mimariyi belki de.Karelerinin hepsi birer eye stopper ... Ortadaki turistler niye sola bakıyor acaba merak ettim.

Soft ışıkla birlikte simetri ve aynalara bakmaya doyamıyor insan.Şimdiki yapılan "benzer" mimarilere verilebilecek en güzel cevaplardan..İnsanlar şu zamandaki yapılarla stresten başka bir şeye sahip olamıyor kesinlikle...

Sigma 10-20 mm'de çarpılma çok yüksek diyenlere "Efenim canım?" demek için bire bir... Şimdiye kadar kullandığım hiç bir lensle şu fotoğraftaki jiletimsi düzgünlüğü yakalayamadım ben şahsen :)
Yansımanın mavisi, gerçek görüntüdeki kırmızılı ve tabi ki kemerlere bayıldım. Yalnızi yansımadaki o garip mavi alaca bulacalar ney?

fascinating shot, I like a lot the strong perspective that literally drags the eye in. must've been a difficult exposure, but you have balanced the dark and brigh areas very well. excellent work, my compliments.

Şehidiye Medresesi'nden benim de çok benzer bir karem vardı. Ama bu kadar simetrik değildi;-)Kesinlikle kıskandım!Son dönemde gördüğüm hiçbir Mardin fotoğrafını da bu kadar kıskanmamıştım... desem de inanmayın!

ne kadar duzgun ve dengeli.. alt taraftaki yumusak siyahlik cok guzel.. bir de yansimalar abakinca soyle gordum birden; alt ust ayni fotograf ve aradaki yedi farki bulmam gerkiyormus gibi hissettim, sol ve sagdaki insanlari suda yansimalari olmayisini (ki ben soldakilerden birini tanidim hemen:)) farkettim:)
