Photographer’s Note
In our PI 100 class (Rizal's life and works), we had our one-day fieldtrip to Laguna, Batangas and Tagaytay last May. Our first stop was in Calamba where Dr. Jose Rizal's ancestral house was located. The interior of the house was spacious and well-preserved. The atmosphere inside makes you imagine the lifestyle of the rich Filipino people during the Spanish time in the Philippines.
The last time I visited the Rizal Shrine, the exterior of the house was painted with cream or somewhat beige. But now, it was painted with light green. It was very disappointing. :(
