Olympic sunset Photo

Photographer’s Note

Many changes were made in the Olympic Complex or Center of Athens for the Olympic Games of 2004, many additions designed by famous Spanish architect, Santiago Calatrava. Among them, the addition of a roof at the central stadium ( ***SEE "SPACESHIP IN ATHENS" PHOTO*** ) , the Velodrome, the "Wall of Nations", the Roman "corner and, of course, the Agora, a beautiful promenade, small part of which you see in this photo.

A very graphic picture thanks to the composition using very well the arches in the vertical frame.

This is my 1st time to see the sunset through a structural frame network and I like the graphic presentation of the light+shadow effect through the elements of the structure.

Very good choice of the POv to enhance the beauty of the curves and structure. And the sunset color tone is just perfect for you to show us this kind of image.

It is the first photo which I see of the Olympic stadium in the sunset. The effect is fantastic.
It is not any more the shadows which we admire but the hatched sky.
A magnificent way of emphasizing the immense talent of Calatrava.

Primero, a modo de curiosidad, a fin de mes vuelo otra vez a Atenas... y si puedo, además haré una escapada unos días antes (depende de si puedo hacer o no un cambio).

La luz es el alma de la foto. Calatrava añade su pequeño grano de arena y todo lo demás lo pones tú.
