Photographer’s Note

The present Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (Catalan for Hospital of the Holy Cross and Saint Paul) in the Guinardó, Barcelona, Catalonia, is a complex built between 1901 and 1930, designed by the Catalan architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. Together with Palau de la Música Catalana, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today it is still a fully functional hospital. There have been discussions to convert this building to a museum sometime in the future.

The whole complex has a very interesting architecture with lots of details.
I like this b&w view of the statue with the beautiful arches of the entrance in the background.

It's true I was born in this hospital, but I said the major, please, don't do it, don't do a museum for me.

Hi George,
Interesting photo , the pigeons add some life to the "cold" fountain. The use of B&W was a good idea.
I think you could have made a more symmetric composition by standing a bit to the left. The contrasts are ok too.
