Hi Bev,
A very good capture of this man who really looks like he is either making a decision or just pretending to make one. Whatever, a real "daily life" picture!
Kind regards

Hi Bev. Great candid shot, good selective focus separate the judge from the BG and great timing also. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good weekend, Paul.

Hello Bev,
The placing of the judge close to the "third" gives strong impact to the composition, and his gaze directed away the camera towards the bottom right corner of the image, introduces the suggestion of a diagonal to reinforce this.
The choice of B & W is a good one. The blurring of the other dog owners, their animals, and the houses in the distance concentrates the eye on the main character.
This type of event must be a fine hunting ground for your favourite sort of photography
Kind regards,
Peter.

Dang, this is a nice one, Bev.
The lighting and contrast are perfect and I love the DOF concentrating the focus on the judge. Perfect choice for B&W and he looks like one serious dude. Mad good detail! This is another of your great people shots. Many thanks and warmest wishes,
Shelly

Great DOF on this one Bev and I like the way the subjects are positioned with the main man in such sharp focus and the other guy looking intently towards the camera. You have a bit of tilt which is a shame, noticeable on the houses at the back and the woman on the left. Rotating a couple of degrees anticlockwise would correct it though I think.
cheers

hi bev
he seems very concentrated on his job!!
nice to see owners and dogs slightly blurred in the BG, that allows to understand better what happens.

Hello Bev,
Whatever this man is thinking at this moment, he certainly radiates a strong will. An impressive portrait in very fine black & white. He seems to become even more powerful from being so much sharper than the crowd behind him.
I am very late in commenting on this, but I find it hard to keep up with all new postings on TE. Not that I am so disappointed with the new design of the site, but there are other things in life than being glued to TE.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Bev!
Interesting and nice portrait of this man with the great expresion and posture, he really looks lost in thoughts! Perfect choice of b&w! the "cropping" of the photo, they way you cut his legs is rather "disturbing", I think that if you have to "cut" the legs, it's better to do it above the knees. anyway, great job!

Hello Bev,
A good use of B&W with beautiful contrast. An excellent portrait with attitude, expression nad glance of this man well collected. A good BG too rich in various elements: men, dogs, houses.
Best regards,
Roger

Hello Bev,
I guess the man looked closely at a dog, but the gesture seems angry.
Wonderful portrait and very well captured the atmosphere.
Best wishes,
Charo

Hello Bev. Dogs are in the center of this photo, - in addition, the man in the foreground shows a strong expression. The black-and-white photo shows the special atmosphere very realistically. The inclusion of the environment pleases me well. Best regards, Wolfgang.
