First time I ever saw a Red Tail Hawk guarding it's dinner. This Hawk stayed with his meal for three days before leaving it to the Turkey Vultures. It was so protective that I was able to walk right up to it and the Hawk simply stared me down.

The first day I saw this there were 3 Vultures on the Gaurd rail, one up on a tree farther in from this shot and 3 more in the tress behind me. By the time I stopped and got my camera all but this vulture flew off. When I got out of the car it finally flew away leaving me alone with the Hawk and his dinner.
