Photographer’s Note

Alright, in case someone is going to mention the board walk area or pier (what's the proper term?) on the left. I wanted to get as many buildings in the shot but I cannot avoid the board walk in the frame. I would snap the shot from there but my widest is 17mm and would not have included as many buildings.

Exposure time: 20s
Lens: Sigma 17-70

Hi Brandon, nice Blue Hour shot contrasting with the beautiful gold lights of the sky-scrapers. A lovely clear image and I like the boardwalk in the frame. I'm interested as to how long you exposed the shot for please? Thanks for sharing, Lisa.

Hi Brandon,

Nice shot of Vancouver with great lighting and majestic colours. I agree that preferably the boardwalk would not be there, however it is not that big of a problem and the photo is still very nice. Perhaps you could achieve the goal of getting many buildings but no boardwalk by standing on the boardwalk and taking three or four photos, then stitching them together using Photoshop?

FLAWLESS shot Brandon, and worth MUCH more praise than it's received. Unfortunately TE is one of those 'you scratch my back- I'll scratch yours' type of sites. Regardless of how good your shots are- people will have a tendency of flocking to their friends. My goal for today is to go through TE looking at all the recent shots of my favorite city- Vancouver.

Sharp detail, perdect exposure, love the cropping and it looks as though you have corrected the keystoning as well. Very well done Brandon- keep up the brilliant work!
