Photographer’s Note
These patterns are caused by chemicals in the slate strata, and occur in large stretches of the Cornish coastline. They are more pronounced in the evening sun, which was when I decided to take this picture.

Hello Gladys,
These rocks are certainly very eye catching with their lovely tonal layers. They are presented in a good well framed composition. Excellent sharpness to enable us to fully appreciate the textures. Just a pity, the sky is so featureless.

Gladys,
Does exactly what it says on the tin or, at least, in the title. But I'd have to agree with the previous critique about the sky - a pity a this detracts from the overall shot. It might have been better to keep the sky out of this one completely.
The rock does look fantastic though! :)
Cheers

Hi Gladys, I always enjoy seeing landforms such as this. You have chosen an ideal POV and the strata are very apparent. The folding and slumping features are wonderful, and the photo suitable for a geology textbook. TFS. Murray.
