On an arc, inside the church Saint-Michel of the 12th century, a statue of Saint-Michel out of gilded wooden, 15th century, represents him embanking its lance the demon with its lance.

The nave is arched in cradle semicircular arch, the wall-belfry accommodates two bells of which one goes back to 1643.
The GARDE-GUÉRIN is a strengthened village, to 900 m of altitude, in the list of "Plus Beaux Villages de France", in list of most beautiful villages of France.
This small medieval city north of Lozere mount, dominates of 400 m the deep canyon of Chassezac, and the torrent of the Altier.
As of the Roman epoch, the village is crossed by a way, route transportation between the Center and the South of France.
At the end of the 9th century, this way, the VOIE RÉGORDANE, or way of Saint-Gilles, led the pilgrims of the Middle Ages of the Puy-en-Velay to Saint-Gilles-of-Gard and made it possible the goods to circulate. A garrison was installed as from the 11th century to ensure the safety of the traffic, against the payment of various rights of which a right of toll.
After being called the Garde at the 13th century, the village was named the Garde Guerin as from the 14th century, probably due in the name of the local lords of the time.
The strengthened village, surrounded by ramparts and with its castle, underwent the storm of the One hundred Year old War with 14th and 15th centuries, then the destruction of the wars of religion at the 16th century.
Prévenchères is a french commune, located in the department of Lozère of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 215 Prévenchérois in 1999, distributed out of 62 km², that is to say 3 hab./km².

un'altra bella chiesa che si aggiunge alla tua stupenda gallery. Composizione interessante e piacevole, arricchita dal piccolo lampione che rende la foto ancora più bella. La definizione dei dettagli è eccellente, come al solito nelle tue belle composizioni. Complimenti!

Bonjour Joel ,
Une église petite , mais massive , qui a un peu des allures de forteresse . Superbe appareillage de grosses pierres . La lanterne est très bien placée dans la composition . Le spot est un peu moins joli , mais il faut bien éclairere le monument .

Nice old church and attractive unique flat facade and with windows less, clear to show the stone wall, not easy to frame this large church with another building as obstruction at foreground, good shoot.

La netteté est parfaite! La luminosité a été merveilleusement gérée! Les couleurs suaves m'ont plu énormément! Le point the vue et la composition sont vraiment chouettes! C'est une autre photo de l'architecture française ancienne qui doit être montrée partout!

D'apres tes photos Joel, on dirait que le soleil ne manque jamais a LR. Que l'optimisme est le seul sentiment autour de toi. Ou bien c'est toi qui l'interprete ainsi. Cette petite chapelle n'a pas besoin de grandir. Elle est tellement bien telle qu'elle est. Avec ta siganture.

Bonjour Joël,
La prise de vue rapprochée permet de distinguer les détails et les couleurs de l'architecture de l'église. Elle est bien cadrée par les autres maisons. L'image est claire et nette. La qualité de la lumière met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.
