FULL MOON WALKING

"It is the night of the full moon. Slowly the walkers amble in, seating themselves under the silent roots in quiet anticipation.
The moonlight walk tonight will be my first. The idea always gave me a warm feeling, but I have never managed to make it this far before.
Rising out of the inky blackness of the East, the moon shimmers from behind a hazy streak of clouds. Matrimandir in the foreground appears like a pin-cushion; the scaffolds sticking out like needles, like energy fields.
I shut my eyes; my ears tune in to the sounds around..."

It's a great idea, including the title, obviously. And I want it to really look as a full moon up there, so I tried a crop.

o kadar isin gucun arasinda bu kadar cabuk beklemiyordum dogrusu,cok hizlisin,buradaki stresli gecen haftanin acisini cikaracaga benziyorsun...o gecit cok mu kalabalik bir yer bilemem ama insanlar ustuste binmeselerdi daha dogru bir deyimle yapisik duzen yurumeselerdi daha iyi olurdu diye dusundum...ama elalemin memleketinde o kadar bekleyecek zaman nerede degil mi?

Really atmospheric shot Korkut, although I do think I'd prefer it if you'd framed it without that light hanging at the top of the frame - I think the photo has more power with just the tunnel of light framed by the surrounding blackness. The hanging light disturbs that slightly.
Anyway, it's a good shot.

Master Gałczyński whom you met for sure knowing nothing about (as he lives no more in flesh) used to write numerous nocturne poems and full moon was very prominent person in his writings :)))

İç mekân çekimlerini sevenlere göre elverişli bir yere benziyor Krakov. İkinci Dünya Savaşı yıllarından kalma karanlık, rutubetli koridorlar, yürüyen siluetler...
Ama dış mekân çekimleri için pek fazla malzeme yoktur sanırım değil mi? Çok zor ışık koşullara rağmen ortamın atmosferini güzel yansıtan bir çalışma olmuş. Tebrikler.

Yes, I see, you have a "fake moon" too! I love that you've allowed us to see the wire by which the moon hangs, and a little of the ceiling detail - adding an additional theatrical element to the illusion - one which you could easily have removed altogether - but have IMO wisely retained.

Its always a lesson for me at least how you conceptualise a picture. Great shot this one with fine handling of shadows & light (at the other end). The 'full moon' here attracts like a magnet. Only you can produce gems like this from mundane scenes! Fine work!

Hi Korkut--I'm back to TE after a couple of months away (probably no one noticed...) Anyway, this is really well executed; photography is about light and light is what's featured here.
