Photographer’s Note
The New Year festival for the Miao people, one of the recognised ethnic minorities in China. The Miao people are mainly found in Guizhou province in the south of the country and celebrate their new year in November. The women dress up in fine costumes and take part in dancing ceremonies. Here they are walking along a narrow passageway between the village houses to the main square for such a ceremony.

However, their costumes must be quite colorful and i'm therefore somewhat unsure of your choice for B&W

I really like the behind the scenes nature of this photo. I like how concentrated she seems on something we can only guess at. Very good use of B&W.
