Photographer’s Note
I have this blessing from above to meet the most incredible people on my path of life…
To find them and cherish them and keep them close and never forget them and say thank you at any possible occasion - is my obligation.
Renata Byrska - Stefanelli ( after her Italian husband) fled the commies ruled Poland in late 70' and when in the early 80' a huge tide of defectors from the eastern block start pouring all over Europe, seeking landed emigrant visas to the destination countries - she was there, right on the front lines - to help, to support, to guide those lost Polish souls.
I'm proud to be her guest of choice. Me and my family spent weeks in her Villa D' Albanese, being treated with most charming hospitality you can imagine.
The wonderful Italian neighbors were inviting us almost every single days to another 'Villa' for dinner or supper and, trust me guys - you have no idea what a supper means till you sit down at the table in the Italian house with a huge Italian family !!!
And, she was the loudest of them all… The most talkative… With the thundering laughter… With the most Italian 'hoarse timbre' in her throat… First to initiate the popular Italian songs when the home made red 'Lambrusco' started its magic trick in our heads… Constantly smiling - was that Polish girl…
Renata Byrska was her name… Stefanelli - after her Italian husband.
She was there so we, the people without homes - feel like at home.
I really have this blessing from above to meet the most incredible people on my path of life.
I still do… Till this very moment... Till this very minute...
………………………………………………
From the bottom drawer… The dirtiest… The most deteriorated … The most beloved…
Camera: One of the models of Practica (?). Lens: about 100mm. Film: The cheapest 'no name' diapositive film I could buy.

this is a photo with history.
I remembered that time - I was a child - and the TV told us about lots of Polish people coming to Italy...running away from your beloved Towarisc!
it's nice to hear you were happy sitting around a table with us...eating, drinkng, feeling at home.
we Italians normally think we are pretty dupek or we just consider us not as good as the other European...but such a story tells me we are much better than we think about ourselves

Yes... Poland... it's true what my father told me very long ago... the major concentration of beautiful women in the world.
Very interesting note to accompany this amazing picture. This is some extraordinary processing George. The lightness and the back- foreground game are making me crazy. And the kids hand... that hand... lying on top of the car. Brutal! And the two signs on the background... fabulous!
And her smile and posture. What a pearl!
Keep uploading this treasures from the past and have a great evening.

PS: Great, great picture George! Incredible! Still looking, and looking, and looking, and looking...

Rozluźnieni, wymieniając dowcipne uwagi, tuż przed emisją napisów końcowych;-) Pełen luz i zadowolenie, radośc z życia...

A lovely old photo. It shows nicely that a good photo doesn't need to be shiny and sharp.
